I have been leading kayak trips around the world with a focus on the SouthEast of the US since 1993.  Founding SouthEast Expeditions with a couple of friends in Cape Charles, Virginia in 1999 made the Eastern Shore my home, and I have fallen in love with the place.  When I am not paddling or kiteboarding through the waters of the Shore, you can usually find me behind either the lens of my Nikon or a cold margarita.

This blog was started when I discovered that the Chinese government had restricted access to the social network sites I had grown accustom to using.  So until I decide otherwise, this is where you can now subject yourself to significantly more than 140 characters about what I am seeing, doing, thinking, and eating in China and on whatever adventures come next.
